Vibration Sensors

Smart sensors that wirelessly monitor motor and rotating-equipment vibration, enabling predictive maintenance.

A vibration sensor catches abnormal vibration on rotating equipment early, preventing unplanned downtime. Advantech’s WISE-2410 series wireless (LoRaWAN) smart vibration sensor monitors the health of motors, pumps and compressors by comparing RMS velocity and eigenvalues against the ISO 10816-3 standard; the WISE-2410X is the same sensor’s ATEX/IECEx-certified, explosion-proof (Ex) version for use in hazardous and explosive environments. Cloud-based remote monitoring provides 24/7 condition tracking. Certification need (standard/Ex) and communication method are chosen to match the application. Below, wireless (LoRaWAN) and wired (RS-485/Modbus) vibration sensors and the gateways and communication devices that collect their data are listed, each with its own product page.

Wireless vibration sensors (LoRaWAN)

Battery-powered LoRaWAN sensors installed without cabling; data is collected through a WISE-6610 gateway.

Wired vibration sensors (RS-485 / Modbus)

High-frequency sensors with fixed power, read over an RS-485 line via Modbus/RTU; connected directly to PLC/SCADA or wirelessly through the WISE-2200-M.

Gateways and communication devices

Gateways that collect LoRaWAN sensor data, and the node that carries wired Modbus sensors onto the LoRaWAN network.
