The MV-SC3050XM-12M-WBN-S is the single-cable variant within the SC3000X-S family; its sensor architecture and optics match the standard model exactly — global shutter CMOS, 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels, 1/1.45″ optical format, 2432 × 2048 resolution, up to 40 fps. Gain is 0 dB – 15 dB, exposure 6 µs – 1 s, pixel format Mono 8. The 12 mm M12 lens retains mechanical motorised focus; this short focal length suits stations needing a wide field of view at close-to-medium range. The lens cover is transparent + polarised + diffuser, with optional red/blue/infrared alongside white light. What sets the -S family apart is the body and connector, not the imaging path, which stays identical to the standard version.

What sets the -S family apart from the standard model is mainly the connector and body: a 17-pin M12 connector combines power, Ethernet, digital I/O and serial communication in one cable — 2 input signals (Line0/1), 3 output signals (Line5/6/7), 3 bidirectional configurable I/O (Line2/3/4) and 1 external line. The body measures 43 × 57 × 45.9 mm, weighs approx. 200 g, carries IP65 protection and a multi-angle indicator light. Power and consumption are unchanged: 24 VDC, typical 6.5 W. Vision tools also match the standard model — point-to-point, point-to-line, contrast, greyscale area, pitch, width, brightness, angle and diameter measurement, blob/edge/contour presence — running over RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS, Keyence KV and Fast Ethernet, with up to 32 stored programs.

IP65 protection points to a somewhat more controlled environment than IP67; ambient conditions should be assessed per project.
