HIKROBOT MV-SC3013XC-16M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC3013XC-16M-WBN is a 1.3-megapixel color vision sensor with global shutter CMOS technology, capturing images at 1216 × 1024 resolution and up to 60 fps through a 1/1.45″ optical format sensor with 6.9 µm × 6.9 µm pixels. A gain range of 0 dB – 15 dB and exposure from 6 µs to 1 s, combined with Mono 8 / RGB 8 pixel formats, suit measurement and inspection tasks built on color differentiation. Its M12-mount lens with mechanical motorised focus is fixed at 16 mm — the longest focal length in the family, narrowing the field of view and extending the working distance, which benefits applications where the camera must sit further from the target or where small, distant details need to be magnified.

Alongside blob-, edge- and contour-based presence/absence detection, the unit’s toolset includes point-to-point, point-to-line, contrast, greyscale area, pitch/width, average brightness, line-to-line angle, colour measurement/area, and diameter/angle measurement; up to 32 programs can be stored and imported/exported. The data interface is 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet, with RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV protocols supported. Power and digital I/O run through a 12-pin M12 connector providing 3 opto-isolated inputs, 3 opto-isolated outputs and RS-232; the top button can also trigger the unit. Running on 24 VDC at a typical 6.5 W, the MV-SC3013XC-16M-WBN comes with a fully transparent + polarised + diffuser lens cover, a focused white light source (red/blue/infrared optional), a 360° visible body indicator light and an orange LED aiming light; body size is 80.1×43×44.3 mm (flat-angle) / 58.5×43×65.4 mm (right-angle), weight ~190 g, protection rating IP67.

Where it is used

With the narrowest field of view and longest working distance in the family, the 16 mm focal length is suited to setups where the camera must be positioned physically far from the target, or where access is limited and small colour details need to be magnified for inspection. On a section of line with restricted camera access, for example, this focal length helps resolve a small colour mark or connection point clearly from a distance. Its narrow angle also reduces background clutter, keeping attention on the target area alone.
