The longest-focal-length member of the mono line, the MV-SC3016M-15M-WBN uses the same 1.6 MP global-shutter CMOS sensor: 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixel size, 1/2.9″ optical format, 1408 × 1024 resolution, up to 60 fps. Gain spans 0-15 dB, exposure 16 µs to 1 s, with Mono 8 pixel format support. Its M12-mount lens reaches a 14.8 mm focal length via mechanical (motorised) focus — the longest in the family, most clearly illustrating the optical rule that a longer focal length narrows the field of view while extending the effective working distance.

Looking at this model from the mechanical and electrical side first, rather than the vision tools: the 65.2 × 65.2 × 47 mm, roughly 280 g body carries an IP67 rating and runs on 24 VDC (13.8 W average / 42 W peak). A 17-pin M12 connector combines power, Ethernet, digital I/O and serial communication; RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV protocols are supported over Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s). The light source is a 14-LED array spanning white/red/blue plus near-infrared, with PWR/LNK/STS/OK-NG indicator LEDs. On the vision side, measurement tools (point-to-point, point-to-line, contrast, greyscale area, pitch, width, average brightness, line-to-line angle, diameter, line angle) and presence/absence detection are available, storing up to 32 programs with import/export support.

Where it is used

The 14.8 mm focal length gives the narrowest field of view in the mono family and, correspondingly, the longest effective working distance. That makes this model well suited to monochrome measurement stations where the camera must be mounted relatively far from the target, or where small geometric details in the scene — edges, diameters, angles — need to be examined at higher effective magnification.
