HIKROBOT MV-SC3013XM-16M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC3013XM-16M-WBN is a 1.3-megapixel monochrome vision sensor with a global shutter CMOS sensor at 1/1.45″ optical format and 6.9 µm × 6.9 µm pixels. Capturing up to 60 fps at 1216 × 1024 resolution, it offers 0 dB – 15 dB gain and 6 µs – 1 s exposure; its Mono 8 pixel format gives clean results for contrast- and edge-based analysis. The M12-mount lens with mechanical motorised focus sits at a 16 mm focal length — the longest in the family — giving a narrow field of view and long working distance, so small details can be magnified and examined even with the camera positioned well away from the target.

With point-to-point, point-to-line, contrast, greyscale area, pitch/width, average brightness, line-to-line angle, and diameter/angle measurement tools, plus blob/edge/contour-based presence detection, the MV-SC3013XM-16M-WBN can store up to 32 programs with import/export support. The data interface is 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet, and protocols include RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV. A 12-pin M12 connector carries power along with 3 opto-isolated inputs, 3 opto-isolated outputs and RS-232; top-button triggering is also available. Powered at 24 VDC with typical consumption of 6.5 W, the unit’s lens cover is fully transparent + polarised + diffuser, its light source is white (red/blue/infrared optional), its indicator is a 360° body light, and its aiming light is an orange LED; flat-angle body 80.1×43×44.3 mm, right-angle body 58.5×43×65.4 mm, weight ~190 g, protection rating IP67.

Where it is used

Combining the narrowest field of view and longest working distance in the family with monochrome imaging, the 16 mm focal length suits applications where the camera must stand well back from the target and small contrast/edge details need to be magnified for inspection. On a line section with restricted access, this model is a good fit for resolving an edge or contour measurement at high resolution from a distance. Where colour differentiation isn’t needed but geometric precision is the priority, the narrow angle also reduces background clutter.
