HIKROBOT MV-SC3030XC-12M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

With 3.0MP resolution (2048 × 1536), MV-SC3030XC-12M-WBN is the colour model in the SC3000X family, using a global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels and a 1/1.8″ optical format. Gain ranges 0–15 dB and exposure 6 µs to 1 s, at up to 40 fps. The M12 lens mount has motorised focus; its 12 mm focal length gives a field of view narrower than the 8 mm model’s but wider than the 16 mm model’s, suiting medium working distances. Mono8/RGB8 pixel formats are supported, and the CE/KC-certified unit operates across 0 °C–50 °C.

Running over a 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet data interface, MV-SC3030XC-12M-WBN connects to a wide range of controllers via RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV. A 12-pin M12 connector supplies power along with 3 opto-isolated inputs (LINE0/1/2), 3 opto-isolated outputs (LINE3/4/5) and 1 RS-232 line; triggering is also possible via the body-mounted button. On the vision side it provides point-to-point and point-to-line measurement, contrast measurement, greyscale area, pitch and width measurement, average brightness, line-to-line angle, colour measurement, colour area, diameter measurement, line angle and blob presence checking, with storage for up to 32 programs and import/export support. Drawing a typical 6.5 W at 24 VDC and weighing about 190 g, the camera measures 80.1 × 43 × 44.3 mm (flat-angle body) or 58.5 × 43 × 65.4 mm (right-angle body), and comes with IP67 protection and a focused white light source (optional red/blue/infrared).

MV-SC3030XC-12M-WBN’s 12 mm focal length gives a field of view narrower than the 8 mm model’s but wider than the 16 mm model’s, making it a balanced choice for medium mounting distances. Tools such as colour measurement, diameter measurement, pitch/width and point-to-line measurement suit tasks requiring both position and size checks together. It fits stations where the camera can be mounted neither too close nor too far, handling medium-sized parts, and connects directly into existing PLC infrastructure running MELSEC/SLMP, FINS or Keyence KV.
