HIKROBOT MV-SC3030XC-08M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

MV-SC3030XC-08M-WBN is a 3.0MP colour smart camera (2048 × 1536) from HIKROBOT’s SC3000X family. Its global-shutter CMOS sensor has a 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixel size and 1/1.8″ optical format, running at up to 40 fps with 0–15 dB gain and 6 µs–1 s exposure. The 8 mm motorised-focus lens gives a wide field of view for stations where the camera can be mounted close to the line and a broad area must be captured in one frame. Supporting Mono8 and RGB8 pixel formats, the camera is CE and KC certified and rated for 0 °C–50 °C operation.

MV-SC3030XC-08M-WBN offers measurement tools including point-to-point and point-to-line measurement, contrast measurement, greyscale area, pitch and width measurement, average brightness, line-to-line angle, colour measurement, colour area, diameter measurement and line angle, alongside presence/absence tools such as blob presence checking; up to 32 programs can be stored, with import/export support for quick adaptation to different lines. On the communication side it supports RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV, plus 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet for data. A 12-pin M12 connector delivers power and I/O: 3 opto-isolated inputs (LINE0/1/2), 3 opto-isolated outputs (LINE3/4/5) and 1 RS-232 line, with triggering also available via the top button. Drawing a typical 6.5 W at 24 VDC, the camera measures 80.1 × 43 × 44.3 mm in the flat-angle body or 58.5 × 43 × 65.4 mm in the right-angle body, weighs approximately 190 g, and is IP67 rated; the light source is focused white, with optional red/blue/infrared variants.

The 8 mm motorised-focus lens suits stations where MV-SC3030XC-08M-WBN can be mounted close to the conveyor and a wide area must fit in one frame; the wide field of view lets large products or several parts be assessed in the same frame. The colour sensor combined with its rich measurement toolset — colour measurement, diameter measurement, pitch/width checking — delivers results from a single unit. Storage for up to 32 programs allows fast changeover on lines with frequent product changes; it suits stations with limited mounting distance.
