Carrying the longest focal length in the sub-family at 16 mm, its lens trades a narrower field of view for the longest working distance, letting the camera stay clear of the target while still resolving small details. The monochrome sensor delivers precision for contrast- and edge-based measurement. CE and KC certified, the device shares the SC3000X family’s embedded hardware platform, combining image processing, decision-making and communication in one body.
Counting, defect detection, presence/absence checking and positioning are handled by high-precision algorithms running on MV-SC3020XM-16M-WBN’s embedded hardware platform. The camera offers a rich digital I/O interface and multiple communication protocols including RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, Modbus, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, giving it compatibility with a range of automation systems. A rotatable cable outlet eases mounting in tight spaces, while a 360° visible indicator allows status monitoring from anywhere on the line. Multi-layer optical lighting with polarised, diffuser and fully transparent options preserves image quality, and an IP67 rating provides durability in demanding industrial environments.

Where it is used
MV-SC3020XM-16M-WBN’s 16 mm focal length trades a narrow field of view for a long working distance, making it suited to stations where the camera cannot be brought close to the line or must focus on a small area. The monochrome sensor gives reliable results for contrast- and edge-based analysis under variable lighting. It fits lines with restricted access where small parts must be positioned, inspected for defects, or checked for presence/absence from a distance.
