Rectangular Inductive Sensors
Block-housed rectangular inductive sensors that can be mounted directly on a metal surface.
Rectangular (block) housed sensors are screw-mounted directly onto a flat surface; compared to the cylindrical type they offer a larger sensing face and typically a longer sensing range. Panasonic’s GX-F/H series, Omron’s TL-N/-Q series, and Telemecanique’s XS7/XS8/XS9/XSD series rectangular sensors are widely used in limit control and counting applications. Housing size and sensing distance are chosen to match the application.
Panasonic GX-F/H series — rectangular models (10)
Panasonic’s GX-F/H series rectangular inductive sensors sense from the front (GX-F) or the top (GX-H); 6×6, 8×8, 12×12 and 15×16.5 mm housings plus the long-range GX-FL15/HL15 versions of the GX-15. Each base model has A (NO) / B (NC) and NPN / PNP (-P) variants; an “I” in the model code denotes a different operating frequency for adjacent mounting. IP68/IP68G protection, PBT housing, 1 m cable. Panasonic’s GX-M, GXL and GX-U/N rectangular series are discontinued. All models below are verified against the manufacturer’s (industry.panasonic.com) current catalogue; images are the manufacturer’s dimensioned model drawings.
