The Telemecanique XS9C111A1L2 is a flat-form inductive proximity sensor from the XS9 application series measuring 40×40×15 mm. Instead of a switching output it provides a 0–10 V analogue voltage output that depends on the target distance. The nominal sensing distance is 15 mm and the operating zone is 2–15 mm. The PBT enclosure and PBT sensing face are suitable for flush mounting in metal. The rated supply is 24 V DC with limits of 15–36 V DC; no-load current consumption is 0–4 mA.
Repeat accuracy is 3 % of Sr or better; linearity error is ±1 V and maximum output drift is 10 %. The data sheet states a switching frequency of ≤ 1000 Hz. The sensor has no status LED. The 3-wire connection is made through a 2 m PVC cable with 3 × 0.34 mm² conductors. The enclosure is rated IP68 with double insulation (IEC 60529), and the operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C. Minimum mounting distances are 45 mm side by side, 110 mm face to face and 45 mm facing a metal object.
