The Omron TL-W3MB1 is a TL-W series inductive proximity sensor in a 10 × 6 × 30 mm flat rectangular housing; Omron notes that it is only 6 mm thick yet senses 3 mm. The heat-resistant ABS case is non-flush (unshielded); rated sensing distance (Sn) is 3 mm ±10% and setting distance 0 to 2.4 mm. The standard sensing object is a 12 × 12 × 1 mm iron plate; response frequency is at least 600 Hz and differential travel at most 10% of the sensing distance. It mounts with M3 flat-head screws; the Y92E-D3 bracket is supplied.
Supply voltage is 12 to 24 V DC (operating range 10 to 30 V DC, ripple 10% max.) and current consumption 15 mA max. at 24 V DC with no load. The PNP open-collector NO output switches up to 100 mA at 30 V DC with a residual voltage of 1 V max. Reverse polarity protection and a surge suppressor are included. The three options differ only in the cable: 2 m or 5 m standard PVC cable, or a 2 m bend-resistant robot cable (-R). The sensor is rated IP67 and operates from −25 to 70 °C.
