The Omron TL-W1R5MB1-2M is a TL-W series inductive proximity sensor in a flat rectangular, non-flush (unshielded) heat-resistant ABS housing measuring 8 × 5.5 × 28 mm. The rated sensing distance (Sn) is 1.5 mm ±10%, with a setting distance of 0 to 1.2 mm. The standard sensing object is an 8 × 8 × 1 mm iron plate; the response frequency is at least 1 kHz and the differential travel is at most 10% of the sensing distance. The sensor mounts with M3 flat-head screws, and the Y92E-D2R5 mounting bracket is supplied.
Supply voltage is 12 to 24 V DC (operating range 10 to 30 V DC, ripple 10% max.) and current consumption 15 mA max. at 24 V DC with no load. The PNP open-collector NO output switches up to 100 mA at 30 V DC with a residual voltage of 1 V max. Reverse polarity protection and a surge suppressor are included. Connection is via a 2 m, 2.9 mm diameter, 3-conductor PVC-insulated cable. The sensor is rated IP67 and operates from −25 to 70 °C; it has a red detection indicator and weighs approximately 70 g packaged.
