The Telemecanique XS7E1A1PAL2 is a flat-form inductive proximity sensor from the XS7 series measuring 26×26×13 mm. Its PBT enclosure and PBT sensing face allow flush mounting in metal. The nominal sensing distance is 10 mm and the operating zone is 0–8 mm. The 3-wire PNP output is normally open (1 NO) and switches up to 100 mA with overload and short-circuit protection. The rated supply voltage is 12–24 V DC with reverse polarity protection, within limits of 10–36 V DC.
The switching frequency reaches 1000 Hz; no-load current consumption is at most 10 mA and the voltage drop in the closed state is below 2 V. The output state is shown by a single yellow LED. Connection is made through a 2 m PVC cable with 3 × 0.34 mm² conductors. The enclosure is rated IP68 with double insulation (IEC 60529), and the operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C. Minimum mounting distances are 30 mm side by side, 72 mm face to face and 30 mm facing a metal object.
