The MV-CH250-90UC V4 is the model in the CH series high-resolution family that delivers 25 MP color over USB3.0. Its Gpixel GMAX0505 1.1-inch global shutter CMOS works through a Bayer BG filter at 5120 × 5120 pixels with 2.5 μm × 2.5 μm pixel size and yields 14 fps in Bayer BG 8. A 65 dB dynamic range and 36 dB SNR assist in demanding color scenes such as light detail on dark backgrounds or subtle hue differences on bright surfaces, while fixed gain steps from 2.0 × to 5.0 × give repeatable settings.
Color data can be taken raw as Bayer BG 8/10/10Packed/12/12Packed or converted in-camera to YUV422Packed, YUV422_YUYV_Packed, RGB 8 or BGR 8, and Mono 8/10/12 can also be selected. The camera draws its power from the USB3.0 link (typically 3.6 W at 5 VDC) and stays backward compatible with USB2.0; an optional 12 VDC to 24 VDC external input together with the opto-isolated input, opto-isolated output and bi-directional line on the 6-pin P7 connector completes integration into fixed stations. The roughly 100 g, 29 mm × 44 mm × 59 mm C-mount body is rated IP30, works from –10 °C to 50 °C and, being USB3 Vision and GenICam compliant, runs in MVS or compatible third-party software.

Where it is used
Bench applications such as high-resolution color digitization of artwork, documents and large-format prints, color and content sign-off at packaging proofing stations, and color uniformity checks on cosmetic or food products can all run over one USB connection with this camera. Its 14 fps rate is fluid enough for semi-automatic inspection points where an operator places the product by hand and expects an immediate result. Pattern and color matching on textile samples and verification of color-coded components on PCBs are further scenarios that draw on the wide color field of view.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
