An SNR of 44.1 dB, among the highest in this series, distinguishes the MV-CH050-60NM within the 5 MP monochrome CH models built on a Stacked BSI global shutter CMOS sensor. The 2/3″ sensor with 3.45 μm pixels provides 2448 × 2048 resolution and 69.6 dB dynamic range, and reaches 60 fps in Mono 8 over a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface. Gain is adjustable from 0 to 24 dB and exposure from 5 μs to 10 s, and an HDR function is supported.
The 2.5 GigE interface (2500 Mbit/s) is backward compatible with standard Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbit/s) and, as HIKROBOT states, transmits up to 100 meters without a relay; PoE support lets data and power share one Ethernet cable, while a 9–24 VDC input is available for external supply (typically 3.6 W at 12 VDC). The 6-pin P7 connector provides an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated I/O (Line 2). The 29 × 29 × 42 mm C-mount body of about 100 g mounts from four sides, is rated IP40 and operates from -10 °C to 45 °C; it complies with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam and includes ISP functions such as CCM and Super Palette.

Where it is used
Cable runs of up to 100 meters and PoE make it easy to deploy the camera far from the control cabinet, across large production floors or in installations spread over several stations. 44.1 dB SNR and HDR suit metalworking and foundry part inspection, where consistent images are needed in low light or on reflective surfaces, while 5 MP at 60 fps gives enough detail for dimensional measurement and printed circuit board checks on medium-speed lines.
