HIKROBOT MV-CH250-90GM — Area Scan Cameras
25 MP, Gpixel GMAX0505, GigE, Mono, 4.5 fps

The MV-CH250-90GM is the monochrome GigE entry in the CH series high-resolution family, built around the 1.1-inch Gpixel GMAX0505 global shutter CMOS sensor. Its 5120 × 5120 array with 2.5 μm × 2.5 μm pixels captures a wide field in a single frame while keeping fine structure resolvable. With 36 dB SNR, 63 dB dynamic range, a 0 dB to 24 dB gain span and exposure from 12 μs to 10 seconds, the camera delivers 4.5 fps at full resolution in Mono 8, a rate intended for inspection stations where detail outweighs cycle speed.
On the network side the camera runs over Gigabit Ethernet with a maximum transmission distance of 100 meters without a relay and remains compatible with Fast Ethernet. PoE support means a single cable can carry both data and the typical 3.1 W at 12 VDC, while the 6-pin P7 connector adds an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated line (Line 2) for hardware trigger, software trigger or free-run operation. The C-mount housing measures 29 mm × 44 mm × 59 mm, weighs roughly 100 g, carries mounting holes on both panels and is rated IP40 with proper lens and cable installation; GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam compliance keep it open to MVS and third-party software.

Where it is used
A 5120 × 5120 square sensor lets one camera cover what would otherwise take several lower-resolution units: dimensional measurement across a large part, single-shot inspection of multi-cavity moulded parts, or component and solder checks on wide PCB panels. The 4.5 fps rate fits stations that image at fixed or indexed positions, such as scratch and contamination scans on glass and flat panels or fine registration checks on printing plates and stencils. Binning support allows the same camera to trade resolution for speed or sensitivity when a task calls for it.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
