HIKROBOT MV-CH140-60GM — Area Scan Cameras
14 MP, Stacked BSI, GigE, Mono, 9 fps

The MV-CH140-60GM is a monochrome CH-series camera on Gigabit Ethernet, using a 1″ Stacked BSI global-shutter CMOS to deliver 4708 × 2824 (14 MP). Despite its 3 μm pixels, its 41.9 dB SNR is the highest among the GigE and USB models listed here; frame rate is limited to 9 fps by GigE bandwidth. The wide 4708-pixel horizontal resolution is intended for capturing long objects or broad areas in a single frame.
The GigE interface transmits up to 100 m without a repeater and is backward compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet; PoE support merges data and power on one Ethernet cable (typically 3.0 W at 12 VDC). Alternatively, 9–24 VDC is supplied via the 6-pin P7 connector, which also carries the Line 0 opto-isolated input, Line 1 opto-isolated output and Line 2 non-isolated bi-directional I/O. The 29 × 44 × 59 mm, 117 g C-mount body operates from –10 °C to 50 °C; gain, exposure, LUT and gamma can be set automatically or manually, and GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam compliance supports third-party software.

Where it is used
The 9 fps frame rate steers this camera toward static or indexed scenes: solder and placement checks on large PCB panels in one frame, wide-area defect scanning on flat glass and panel surfaces, precision dimensional measurement, and high-resolution localization before robotic pick-and-place. Long Ethernet reach and PoE simplify plant installations where the camera sits inside a machine or at a remote station.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
