The MV-CH120-60Y1M-NN V2 is the V2.0 release of the monochrome 12 MP CoaXPress camera in the CH family that opts for a Stacked BSI global shutter CMOS sensor; with 3.45 μm × 3.45 μm pixels and 4096 × 3072 resolution it offers 80 fps in Mono 8 over a single CXP-12 link. The defining value of this combination is 43.9 dB SNR together with a wide 0 dB to 24 dB gain range, so signal level can be raised inside the camera even in low light. Dynamic range is 54.4 dB, exposure spans 20 μs to 10 sec, and consumption is only a typical 3 W at 12 VDC.
The CoaXPress interface with Micro-BNC connector supports PoCXP, so the low power need (typically 3 W at 12 VDC) can be met over a single coaxial cable, while 12 VDC to 24 VDC applies for external supply. The 6-pin P7 connector provides an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and bi-directional non-isolated I/O (Line 2). The fanless body measures 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm, weighs about 90 g and operates from 0 °C to 50 °C; it takes C-mount lenses and is IP40 rated. Compliance with the CoaXPress and GenICam standards enables use with protocol-based third-party software.

Where it is used
The high SNR and broad gain range help obtain low-noise images in semiconductor, wafer and precision-part inspections where lighting is limited or short exposures are unavoidable. 80 fps at 12 MP monochrome offers a balanced speed/resolution point for dimensional measurement and surface defect detection on fast lines. The 3 W consumption and 50 °C upper limit suit continuously running stations embedded in closed machine bodies.
