HIKROBOT MV-CH120-11UM — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CH120-11UM is the USB 3.0 monochrome camera positioned as the “high-speed version” within the 12 MP class of the CH series. Using the 1.1″ Sony® IMX304 global shutter CMOS sensor it reaches 30.3 fps at 4096 × 3000 in Mono 8, with 40.2 dB SNR and 72.2 dB dynamic range. HIKROBOT currently lists this model in delisting preparation; for new designs the current USB 3.0 members with the same sensor may be considered.
The camera is powered over USB 3.0 (typ. 4.67 W at 5 VDC) or from a 9–24 VDC external source and is compatible with USB 2.0. Hardware trigger, software trigger and free run are supported; a customized ROI and horizontal/vertical reverse image output are configured on the camera, and the P7 connector provides the Line 0/1/2 I/O. The 44 × 29 × 59 mm, roughly 100 g IP30 housing operates from 0 °C to 50 °C and follows USB3 Vision and GenICam.

Where it is used
As a spare or additional unit in existing installations, it can continue to serve measurement, PCB inspection and high-resolution code reading lines that call for 12 MP mono at 30.3 fps. The customizable ROI trims data volume when only part of the field of view matters. Reverse image output removes the need for software correction in optical paths that look through a mirror or prism.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
