HIKROBOT MV-CH120-10CM — Area Scan Cameras
12 MP, Sony IMX253, Camera Link, Mono, 50.9 fps

The MV-CH120-10CM is the monochrome camera that carries 12 MP resolution to high frame rates in the CH family by way of Camera Link: its Sony® IMX253 global-shutter sensor delivers 50.9 fps at 4096 × 3000 Mono 8 in Base/Medium/Full configuration and 69.8 fps at 3840 × 3000 in 80-bit mode. The 3.45 μm pixels, 1.1-inch format, 39.7 dB SNR and 71.6 dB dynamic range sustain that speed without giving up image quality. Exposure down to 1 μs and a 0–24 dB gain range make it suited to very short strobe pulses.
The Camera Link connection uses an SDR connector and requires a Camera Link frame grabber; Base, Medium, Full and 80-bit configuration modes are selected on the camera, and triggering can also be issued directly from the frame grabber. Power is 9–24 VDC (typically 4.51 W at 12 VDC); there is no PoE or bus power. The 6-pin P7 connector holds one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bi-directional line; customizable ROI and image reversal are supported, and the 100 g IP30 C-mount body works with Camera Link V2.0 / GenICam software.

Where it is used
More than fifty 12 MP frames per second are meant for lines where high resolution meets fast motion: semiconductor wafer and display panel inspection, placement checks on high-speed SMT lines, and surface defect scanning of continuously moving sheet or film. Frame-grabber based deterministic timing is the reason to choose it in multi-camera synchronized measurement stations and in rigs that demand microsecond-level triggering.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
