The MV-CH089-10GM is an 8.9 MP monochrome GigE camera in the CH high-resolution series, using the 1-inch Sony IMX267 global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 μm pixels and a 4096 × 2160 array. It runs at 13.7 fps in Mono 8 with 39.8 dB SNR and 70.8 dB dynamic range, and offers an UltraShort exposure mode from 1 μs to 14 μs alongside the standard 15 μs to 10 s range and 0–24 dB gain. HIKROBOT lists this V4 model under delisting preparation, so it should be considered for existing designs or with availability confirmed.
The Gigabit Ethernet interface (with Fast Ethernet fallback) supports runs of up to 100 meters without a relay, and PoE removes the need for a separate power cable; a 9–24 VDC input is available through the 6-pin P7 connector, which also carries Line 0 (opto-isolated input), Line 1 (opto-isolated output) and Line 2 (bi-directional non-isolated). Hardware trigger, software trigger and free run are supported, as are LSC, Sequencer and passive transmission. The 29 × 29 × 42 mm, 100 g C-mount body has mounting holes on four sides and draws 2.3 W typical; GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam compliance apply.

Where it is used
Its 4096-pixel-wide frame makes it suited to wide-format inspection at modest speed: solar cell and wafer surface checks, PCB inspection where a whole board is captured in one shot, and dimensional measurement of larger flat parts. The 1 μs UltraShort exposure suits imaging under strong strobe illumination, and the 70.8 dB dynamic range helps with reflective metal or mixed bright/dark scenes such as weld seam or laser marking verification.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
