HIKROBOT MV-SC3060XC-08M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC3060XC-08M-WBN is a 6.0 MP colour smart camera from the SC3000X family. Its sensor is CMOS rolling shutter (unlike the global shutter used in the SC3050 series); with a 2 µm × 2 µm pixel size and 1/2.4″ optical format it captures 3200 × 1920 resolution at up to 20 fps. Gain ranges 0 dB – 33 dB, exposure time 540 µs – 200 ms; pixel format is Mono 8 and RGB 8. The M12-mount lens has an 8 mm focal length with mechanical motorised focus — the shortest in the series, giving the widest field of view and closest working distance. The lens cover is semi-polarised (transparent or fully polarised options available); optional red/blue/infrared/ultraviolet illumination supplements the white light source.

This family’s vision tools focus on blob, edge, contour, pattern, circle and line presence detection plus anomaly detection, and on blob, edge, contour, pattern, learning-based and colour counting. The camera communicates via RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS, Keyence KV, over a Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s) interface with up to 32 stored programs. Connectivity is a 12-pin M12 connector: 3 opto-isolated inputs (LINE0/1/2), 3 opto-isolated outputs (LINE3/4/5), 1 RS-232 line, with top-button triggering also available. Power is 12–24 VDC, average consumption 6.6 W / maximum 22 W with built-in illumination on. The body is 80.1 × 43 × 43.5 mm flat-angle / 58.5 × 43 × 64.6 mm right-angle, approx. 190 g, IP67-rated; besides the 360° indicator it adds a 2-LED aiming light — a feature absent from the mono SC3050 series.

Where it is used

The 8 mm focal length gives the series’ widest field of view; it suits colour inspection stations where the camera can sit close to the target and a wide area must be captured in a single frame. The 2-LED aiming light eases alignment at short range. Colour-based counting and presence-detection tools pair naturally with this wide angle; distance and coverage needs should be assessed per project.
