HIKROBOT MV-SC3050XM-08M-WBN-S — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC3050XM-08M-WBN-S is a 5.0-megapixel (2432×2048) monochrome vision sensor model in HIKROBOT’s single-cable SC3000X-S family. Its CMOS global shutter sensor operates with a 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixel size, 1/1.45″ optical format, up to 40 fps frame rate, 0-15 dB gain range and 6 µs to 1 s exposure time; pixel format is Mono 8 only. The mechanically (motorised) focused M12-mount lens has an 8 mm focal length, designed with a wide field of view for close-range inspection points needing a compact installation footprint. The lens cover combines fully transparent, polarised and diffuser layers, with a standard focused white light source and optional red/blue/infrared sources.

The shortest-focal-length, single-band model in the family, this unit’s body shares the -S family’s common 43×57×45.9 mm dimensions and roughly 200 g weight; the indicator is multi-angle and the protection rating is IP65. Power, Ethernet, digital I/O and serial communication combine into a single 17-pin M12 connector (2 inputs on Line0/1, 3 outputs on Line5/6/7, 3 configurable bidirectional I/O on Line2/3/4) instead of the standard model’s separate 12-pin power/I/O line. On the vision-tool side, without colour measurement, it offers point-to-point, point-to-line, contrast, greyscale area, pitch, width, average brightness, line-to-line angle, diameter and line-angle measurements plus blob, edge and contour presence-absence checks; PLC/SCADA connectivity supports RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV over 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet, with up to 32 programs storable; power supply is 24 VDC with typical consumption of 6.5 W.

Combining the 8 mm focal length’s wide field of view and short working distance with the -S family’s single-cable 17-pin connector, this model suits close-range contrast/dimension inspection points where cable ducting is very tight and a compact layout is required. On stations where colour information isn’t needed and mounting space is limited, it simplifies installation compared with the standard model’s separate power/I/O wiring.
