Its 12 mm focal length sits between the two other monochrome models in the range: narrower than the 8 mm model’s wide-angle view, yet broader than the 16 mm model’s, making it a balanced pick for medium mounting distances. The monochrome sensor is well suited to contrast- and edge-based analysis under variable lighting. CE and KC certified, the camera runs on the family’s shared embedded hardware platform.
MV-SC3020XM-12M-WBN’s embedded hardware platform completes tasks such as counting, defect detection, presence/absence checking and positioning on board, using high-precision built-in algorithms. The camera supports RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, Modbus, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP, and its rich digital I/O interface simplifies line integration. A 360° visible indicator keeps status readable from any direction, while the rotatable cable outlet adds flexibility in confined mounting spots. Multi-layer optical lighting with polarised, diffuser and fully transparent lens cover options cuts glare and reflection to improve image quality, and an IP67 rating keeps the camera reliable on dusty or humid production lines.

Where it is used
With a field of view narrower than the 8 mm wide-angle model but wider than the 16 mm narrow-angle model, the MV-SC3020XM-12M-WBN’s 12 mm focal length makes it a balanced choice for medium mounting distances. The monochrome sensor is an advantage for contrast- and edge-based measurement tasks. It suits stations where the camera can be mounted neither too close nor too far, checking position and defects on medium-sized parts.
