Emergency Stop & Enabling Switches

Emergency stop buttons and rope pull switches that stop the machine instantly, plus enabling grip switches for maintenance and teaching.

An emergency stop button or rope pull switch lets the operator stop the machine instantly in a hazardous situation; an enabling switch runs the machine only while it is held, during maintenance or teaching. This card covers Omron’s A22E/A22NE-P and A165E emergency stop switches with various head types and the three-position A4EG enabling grip switch; Telemecanique’s EN/ISO 13850-compliant Preventa XY2 series emergency-stop rope pull switches (XY2CH 30 m, XY2CE 70 m, and the double-sided XY2CED for long conveyors); and Panasonic’s compact, lightweight SG-C1 enabling grip switch. Note: Panasonic’s SG-E1 emergency stop switch is discontinued; Panasonic appears on this card with its enabling switch only. Contact count, reset method and rope length are chosen to match the application.
