The Omron A165E is a push-lock / turn-reset emergency stop switch for a 16 mm dia. panel cutout with a short mounting depth. Its direct opening mechanism opens the contacts in emergencies such as when they are welded, and it conforms to EN 60947-5-5. A safety lock prevents misuse. With separate construction the operation unit and switch unit can be separated for easier wiring; on the A165E-U models with 3NC contacts the switch unit is one piece with the operation unit. Red 30 mm and 40 mm dia. pushbuttons, non-lighted and 24 V AC/DC LED lighted models are available.
Contacts of separate-construction models are for standard loads: 125 V AC 5 A, 250 V AC 3 A and 30 V DC 3 A resistive. One-piece -U models are suitable for standard loads or microloads, with a minimum applicable load of 1 mA at 5 V DC. Mechanical and electrical durability are 100,000 operations min. The operating temperature is −10 to 55 °C and protection from the panel front is IP65. The operating force is 14.7 N max. A yellow legend plate, panel plug, tightening tool and extractor can be ordered separately.
