The Telemecanique XY2CE is a latching emergency stop rope pull switch from the XY2C range. It works with a single trigger cable up to 70 m long, with 5 m between cable supports. The cable anchor point is on the right-hand side on the XY2CE1A250 and on the left-hand side on the XY2CE2A250. When tripped, the switch latches and is reset by a booted push-button. Contacts are 1 NC + 1 NO, slow-break, with positive opening to EN/IEC 60947-5-1. With appropriate monitoring and correct wiring it can reach category 4, PL e (EN/ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN/IEC 61508).
The body is Zamak and the cover stainless steel; housing colour is red RAL 3000. There are three plain holes for Pg 13.5 or ISO M20 cable glands. Rated operational current is 3 A at 240 V in AC-15 and 0.27 A at 250 V in DC-13; thermal current is 10 A. Mechanical durability is 60,000 cycles and B10d is 300,000 to IEC 60947-5-5 for a 20-year life time. Net weight is 1.45 kg. Operating temperature is -25 to +70 °C, degree of protection IP66. It conforms to EN/ISO 13850 and EN/IEC 60947-5-5; UL (NISD), CSA and CCC certified.
