HIKROBOT MV-CS120-10GC V5 — Area Scan Cameras

For 12 MP applications where colour is part of the decision, the CS series offers the MV-CS120-10GC V5: the Bayer RG version of the Sony IMX226, streaming 4024 × 3036 pixels at 10 fps over GigE. The 1/1.7-inch rolling-shutter CMOS sensor keeps the 1.85 μm pixel, 42.3 dB SNR and 69.4 dB dynamic range of the platform. Besides raw Bayer RG 8/10/12 output the camera emits YUV422, RGB 8 and BGR 8 directly, and a Mono 8 mode is available when colour is not needed.
A GigE link means cable runs up to 100 metres without a relay and compatibility with existing Fast Ethernet infrastructure, and PoE support lets the same Ethernet cable deliver power. If external power is preferred, the 6-pin P7 connector accepts 9–24 VDC alongside the opto-isolated input/output pair and the bi-directional Line 2. Typical draw is 1.5 W at 12 VDC; the 29 × 29 × 42 mm, 100 g C-mount body connects to libraries and applications through GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam.

Where it is used
Colour print and label quality, colour-coded markings on packaging and verification of multi-coloured components are this camera’s natural territory, and 12 MP resolution lets one frame cover several products or a large panel. Grading produce by ripeness or colour defect in food and agriculture lines, and checking pattern and shade consistency in textiles, fall in the same class. The 10 fps rate is adequate for stations where the conveyor stops or creeps for each frame.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
