The MV-CS004-10UC is the colour version of the 2nd-generation IMX287-based USB3.0 family, the CS-series model that pairs speed with colour in the small-resolution class. It reaches 526.5 fps at 720 × 540 in Bayer RG 8, so colour capture costs no frame rate. Its 39.7 dB SNR and 68.0 dB dynamic range are, as expected of a Bayer-filtered sensor, a little below the mono sibling but still leave ample headroom for industrial colour discrimination.
Besides raw Bayer, YUV422 and RGB 8 / BGR 8 output are produced on the camera; USB3.0 carries the higher data volume of these formats and stays USB2.0 compatible. Power comes from the USB bus (typ. 2.6 W at 5 VDC) or as 9–24 VDC through the 6-pin P7 connector, which also houses the Line 0/1 opto-isolated trigger-output pair and the non-isolated Line 2. White balance, contrast ratio and Gamma are adjusted on the camera, and USB3 Vision / GenICam compliance gives standard access to the hardware, software and free-run trigger modes.

Where it is used
Being both colour and fast, it suits high-speed rejection of colour-coded small parts such as capsules, seals, clips and cable lugs. In tasks like colour-sequence verification on a belt, reading mark colours on printed strips or checking LED status lights, its 500+ fps ensures the camera is not what limits line speed. For short-run desktop or in-machine installations it commissions with a single USB cable.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
