HIKROBOT MV-CS004-11GC — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS004-11GC is the colour member of the IMX287 GigE family, addressing CS-series applications that need fast colour imaging over a network. It reaches 312.9 fps at 720 × 540 in Bayer RG 8, and its 43 dB SNR and 73.6 dB dynamic range equal the mono sibling, meaning little detail is lost in shadows and highlights despite the colour filter. Exposure spans a wide 1 μs to 10 s window.
Alongside Bayer RG 8/10/12, YUV422 and RGB 8 / BGR 8 are generated on the camera and streamed over Gigabit Ethernet for up to 100 m; PoE is supported, and on external supply it draws a typical 2.4 W at 12 VDC. The P7 connector provides the opto-isolated Line 0 / Line 1 pair and Line 2 for trigger and strobe, with white balance, contrast ratio and Gamma handled on the camera side. GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam compliance simplifies aggregating several colour cameras through a network switch into one application.

Where it is used
Intended for lines that need distributed colour checks over a network: label colour, cap colour and print-mark verification at several stations can be gathered through one switch. Its 312.9 fps keeps pace with fast conveyors and rotary tables performing colour-based rejection. The high SNR gives stable colour in difficult scenes such as reading coloured marks on dark backgrounds.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
