HIKROBOT MV-CS004-10GC — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS004-10GC is the colour member of the 0.4 MP GigE group in the CS series, using the Bayer RG version of the Sony IMX297 global-shutter CMOS. It keeps the same 720 × 540 resolution and 125.2 fps ceiling while outputting Bayer RG 8/10/12, YUV422 or RGB 8 / BGR 8, and its 41 dB SNR keeps the colour channels clean. Colour correction matrix and white balance are handled on the camera, so accurate colour arrives without extra host-side processing.
Colour frames travel over GigE for up to 100 m without a repeater; a PoE switch removes the separate power cable, or the camera runs from 9–24 VDC drawing a typical 2.5 W at 12 VDC. Trigger and lighting sync use the opto-isolated input/output pair and the non-isolated Line 2 on the 6-pin Hirose connector. Gain, exposure, LUT and Gamma can be set automatically or manually, and GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam support lets the camera join an existing software chain without custom drivers.

Where it is used
It fits jobs where colour is the decision criterion but high resolution is not: cap-colour verification, wire or tape colour discrimination, label present/absent and colour-sequence checks. At 125.2 fps it supports colour-based rejection on fast conveyors. The compact body also fits into the tight spaces of sorting machines.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
