Among the 6 MP class CS series cameras, the MV-CS060-10UM is the monochrome model that reaches 60.9 fps at 3072 × 2048 in Mono 8 over a USB3.0 interface. Its Sony® IMX178 rolling shutter CMOS sensor (1/1.8″, 2.4 μm pixels) delivers a 41.4 dB SNR and 66.2 dB dynamic range, with exposure adjustable from as short as 8 μs up to 1 second. Positioned in the USB3.0 branch of the small and medium resolution family, it offers automatic or manual control of gain, exposure time, white balance, LUT and Gamma correction.
The USB 3.0 connection is backward compatible with USB 2.0, and the camera can be powered directly from the USB 3.0 port, in which case typical consumption is 1.5 W at 5 VDC; a 9–24 VDC external supply can be used instead. The 6-pin P7 connector provides an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated I/O (Line 2). At 29 × 29 × 30 mm and about 80 g, the C-mount housing is shorter and lighter than its GigE siblings and mounts from four sides; USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance enables operation with standards-based third-party software.

Where it is used
6 MP monochrome imaging at 60.9 fps is used in desktop or in-machine stations tied to a single computer for high-speed part counting, position and orientation detection on moving belts, and solder joint inspection on electronic components. Exposure down to 8 μs helps suppress blur on fast-moving parts. The USB-powered compact design also suits microscopic inspection rigs on a laboratory bench and portable measurement systems.
