HIKROBOT MV-CS060-10UM-PRO — Area Scan Cameras
6 MP, Sony IMX178, USB3.0, Mono, 59.6 fps

The MV-CS060-10UM-PRO, the 6 MP PRO monochrome model in the USB3.0 branch of the CS series, is assembled using active alignment techniques and combines an image compression mode with a noise reduction function. Its Sony® IMX178 rolling shutter CMOS sensor (1/1.8″, 2.4 μm pixels) was chosen for high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and low noise, delivering 59.6 fps at 3072 × 2048 with a 41.3 dB SNR and 66.2 dB dynamic range. Exposure is adjustable from 32 μs to 1 second and gain from 0 to 24 dB.
The USB3.0 interface is compatible with USB2.0; when the camera is powered from the USB3.0 port, typical consumption is 2.3 W at 5 VDC, and a 9–24 VDC external supply is also supported. The 6-pin Hirose connector delivers the supply together with an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated I/O (Line 2). The 29 × 29 × 30 mm, roughly 80 g C-mount housing with four-sided mounting holes is rated IP40 and operates from –30 °C to 60 °C; USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance allows integration with third-party software based on those standards.

Where it is used
Precise sensor-to-lens alignment from active alignment addresses dimensional measurement and calibrated imaging applications that demand consistent sharpness even at the corners of the field of view: precision part measurement, glass and wafer edge inspection, optical component checks. 59.6 fps monochrome imaging keeps up with simultaneous multi-part inspection in high-speed production cells. Low-light performance combined with noise reduction provides stability in surface defect analysis under short-exposure strobe lighting.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
