For setups that want both power and 6 MP color over a single USB cable, the MV-CS060-10UC offers the Sony® IMX178 with a Bayer RG filter and reaches 60.9 fps at 3072 × 2048 in Bayer RG 8. The 1/1.8″ rolling shutter CMOS sensor works with 2.4 μm pixels, a 41.4 dB SNR and 66.2 dB dynamic range, while automatic or manual white balance, gain, exposure, LUT and Gamma settings support color consistency. It is the color model in the USB3.0 branch of the CS series small and medium resolution family and can produce YUV422 and RGB 8 / BGR 8 outputs in-camera.
Color data is transferred over USB 3.0; the port is compatible with USB 2.0 and can power the camera at a typical 1.5 W at 5 VDC, or a 9–24 VDC external supply can be connected if preferred. Trigger and signal lines are grouped on the 6-pin P7 connector: Line 0 opto-isolated input, Line 1 opto-isolated output, Line 2 bi-directional non-isolated I/O. The 29 × 29 × 30 mm, roughly 80 g C-mount housing is rated IP40, operates from –30 °C to 60 °C and is compatible with software implementing the USB3 Vision / GenICam standards.

Where it is used
Color 6 MP imaging at 60.9 fps is used for color-based sorting on fast lines (plastic granules, fruit, tablets), color shift detection on printed packaging, and color-sequence verification in wire harness production. Automatic white balance makes it easier to move the camera between stations with different lighting color temperatures. Drawing power and data from one cable reduces cabling load when mounting on a robot arm or in compact desktop inspection fixtures.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
