For 5 MP tasks that need color information, the MV-CS050-60UC is the USB3.0 color option in the CS series small and medium resolution family. Its 2/3-inch Stacked BSI CMOS global shutter sensor with 3.45 μm pixels produces 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Bayer GR 8, and because YUV422 and RGB 8/BGR 8 outputs are available on the camera, demosaicing on the host is optional. 42.4 dB SNR and 73.9 dB dynamic range keep noise in the color channels low, and HIKROBOT’s Super Palette and Super Bayer functions support color fidelity.
The USB3.0 interface is backward compatible with USB2.0 and powers the camera; typical draw is 1.8 W at 5 VDC, with 9–24 VDC through the P7 connector as an alternative. Hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run modes, automatic or manual white balance, gain, exposure, LUT and Gamma, plus Sequencer support, make it straightforward to match camera settings to the light source in color work. The opto-isolated input and output and the bi-directional Line 2 on P7, four-side mounting of the 29 × 29 × 30 mm C-mount body and USB3 Vision/GenICam compliance round out the integration picture.

Where it is used
Color at 5 MP is what label and print quality inspection needs to tell apart color shifts, missing print and wrong variants, and 60 fps keeps that check running on fast packaging lines. Verifying color-coded wire order in cable and connector assembly, and grading food products by ripeness or surface color, are other typical scenarios. The high dynamic range allows mixed materials such as glossy foil and matte cardboard to be judged in a single frame.
