The MV-CS050-60UC V5 is the dual gain profile version of the CS series 5 MP color USB 3.0 camera: a high full well capacity mode with 0–12.8 dB gain and exposure starting at 30 μs, or a high sensitivity mode with 0–24 dB gain and exposure down to 5 μs. The global shutter Stacked BSI sensor in 2/3-inch format with 3.45 μm pixels delivers 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Bayer GR 8, retaining 42.4 dB SNR and 73.9 dB dynamic range. Typical power draw of 1.5 W at 5 VDC is among the lowest in this group.
Because the USB 3.0 interface (USB 2.0 compatible) can power the camera directly, a single-cable installation is possible; external 9–24 VDC supply and the three I/O lines (opto-isolated Line 0 input, opto-isolated Line 1 output, bi-directional Line 2) are gathered on the 6-pin P7 connector. The color pipeline includes Super Palette and Super Bayer, auto or manual white balance, LUT and Gamma adjustment and a Sequencer, with hardware and software triggering supported. The 80 g, 29 × 29 × 30 mm body has mounting holes on four sides, operates from –30 °C to 60 °C and works with software built on USB3 Vision and GenICam.

Where it is used
Pairing color imaging with two gain modes suits this model to automotive interior trim and cosmetics packaging inspection, where glossy lacquered surfaces and matte parts meet on the same line. High sensitivity mode helps in textile and fabric pattern checks where color fidelity must survive low light, while high full well capacity mode fits reading colored components and polarity marks on printed circuit boards under strong ring lighting. At 60 fps these checks can be done on a moving belt without stopping it.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
