HIKROBOT MV-CS050-20GC — Area Scan Cameras

Color counterpart of the Basic XGS5000 GigE model, the MV-CS050-20GC captures 2592 × 2048 frames at 22.7 fps from an OnSemi XGS5000 global-shutter sensor with 3.2 μm pixels. It delivers 39.6 dB SNR and 66 dB dynamic range with gain from 0 to 18 dB, and outputs Bayer RG, YUV422 or RGB 8/BGR 8 pixel formats as required by the host. As a CS series small and medium resolution camera, it keeps the family’s compact 29 × 29 mm cross-section.
Ethernet at 1 Gbit/s with 100 m cable reach and PoE support keeps cabling to one run per camera; where PoE is not available, the 6-pin P7 connector accepts 9–24 VDC with a typical consumption of 2.7 W at 12 VDC. I/O on the same connector comprises one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and a bi-directional non-isolated line for trigger and strobe wiring. Gain, exposure, LUT and Gamma can be controlled automatically or manually, a contrast ratio function is included, and the camera is GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam compliant for third-party software.

Where it is used
Its wide 2592 × 2048 color frame is useful for checking large printed sheets, packaging artwork and multi-item trays in a single shot, and for color-keyed sorting where throughput is moderate. Because it can be powered and read out over a single network cable up to 100 m long, it is also a practical choice for color inspection points spread across a plant network.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
