HIKROBOT MV-CS050-10UM — Area Scan Cameras

MV-CS050-10UM is the second-generation 5 MP monochrome camera that pairs the IMX264 global-shutter sensor with a USB3.0 interface. Thanks to USB3.0 bandwidth it reaches 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Mono 8 — more than double the 24.2 fps of the GigE models with the same sensor — while keeping 40 dB SNR, 71 dB dynamic range and 0–24 dB gain. Exposure works in the 1–14 μs UltraShort and 15 μs–10 s standard modes.
The USB3.0 interface is USB2.0 compatible and the camera is bus-powered at a typical 3.2 W at 5 VDC, with 9–24 VDC external supply also possible. The 6-pin P7 connector offers opto-isolated input/output and a bidirectional line; hardware trigger, software trigger and free run are supported. The 29 × 29 × 30 mm, roughly 80 g body mounts from four sides, and LSC, Sequencer and Super Palette functions with USB3 Vision/GenICam compliance allow quick commissioning in benchtop and short-distance setups.

Where it is used
A 5 MP monochrome image at 60 fps suits jobs that need detailed inspection on fast lines where GigE would not keep up: code and print reading on high-speed packaging lines, electronic component placement checks, and dimensional measurement of moving parts. The USB link is a practical choice for compact stations placed close to the computer.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
