HIKROBOT MV-CS050-10GM — Area Scan Cameras
5 MP, Sony IMX264, GigE, Mono, 24.2 fps, Basic

MV-CS050-10GM is the Basic-class member of the 5 MP monochrome GigE cameras built on the Sony IMX264 global-shutter sensor. The 3.45 μm pixels on the 2/3-inch sensor produce 2448 × 2048 at 24.2 fps in Mono 8, and 40 dB SNR with a 71.0 dB dynamic range gives stable contrast for measurement and reading tasks. Exposure is set in two modes: UltraShort from 1 to 14 μs and standard from 15 μs to 10 s.
The Gigabit Ethernet interface is Fast Ethernet compatible and supports 100 m without a repeater; power is 9–24 VDC or PoE, with a typical 2.6 W at 12 VDC. The 6-pin P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional line. The 29 × 29 × 42 mm, roughly 100 g housing mounts from four sides, and GigE Vision V2.0 plus GenICam compliance make ISP functions such as CCM available in third-party software.

Key features
- Adopts brand new design to reduce power consumption.
- Supports multiple ISP functions like CCM to provide high-quality images.
- Compact design with mounting holes on panels for flexible mounting from 4 sides.
- Adopts GigE interface and max. transmission distance of 100 meters without relay.
- Compatible with GigE Vision V2.0 Protocol, GenICam Standard, and third-party software based on the protocol and standard.
Where it is used
With 5 MP, 24 fps and a monochrome sensor it is an economical option for contrast-based tasks such as dimensional measurement, surface-defect detection and 1D/2D code reading. The UltraShort exposure mode can be used to reduce motion blur on fast-moving parts.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
