HIKROBOT MV-CS050-10GM-PRO — Area Scan Cameras

MV-CS050-10GM-PRO is the PRO version of the IMX264-based 5 MP monochrome GigE camera, distinguished from the Basic model by an image compression mode and a noise reduction function. In standard operation it delivers 24.2 fps at 2448 × 2048, and with compression enabled the frame rate rises to 35.6 fps; 40 dB SNR, 71.0 dB dynamic range and the 0–24 dB gain range are unchanged. Exposure is set in the 1–14 μs UltraShort and 15 μs–10 s standard modes.
The Gigabit Ethernet link is Fast Ethernet compatible and reaches 100 m without a repeater; power is 9–24 VDC or PoE, with a typical 2.6 W at 12 VDC. On this model the I/O is presented on a 6-pin Hirose connector: one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional line. The 29 × 29 × 42 mm body, four-side mounting, storage temperature up to 80 °C and GigE Vision V2.0/GenICam compliance allow it to replace the Basic model directly in existing systems.

Where it is used
The over-35 fps rate in compression mode helps on lines where GigE bandwidth is the constraint but 5 MP detail is indispensable: code and print checks on fast packaging lines, or multi-station measurement cells. The noise reduction function yields cleaner edge information in low-light surface inspection.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
