HIKROBOT MV-CS020-60GC V5 — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS020-60GC V5 is the 2 MP GigE color camera in V5 form, delivering 60.3 fps at 1624 × 1240 in Bayer GB 8 from a Stacked BSI global shutter sensor. Its 44.1 dB SNR and 67.6 dB dynamic range combine with CCM support to hold color accuracy, while typical consumption of 1.4 W at 12 VDC comes in below the roughly 1.9 W of the second-generation GigE color model. A 98 g weight and 1/2.53-inch sensor format make for a light, compact color imaging solution.
A single Ethernet cable carries data up to 100 metres and power over PoE, with the 9–24 VDC external supply option retained. White balance, gain, exposure, LUT and Gamma can be set in automatic or manual mode, and exposure spans 23 μs to 10 s. The P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bi-directional I/O; the 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing has four-sided mounting holes. GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam compliance enables operation with standards-based third-party software, and the –30 °C to 60 °C operating range allows use in unheated environments.

Where it is used
It is the pick for color-dependent installations in closed enclosures with a tight energy and heat budget, such as color cameras mounted on a robot arm or inspection inside a cramped cabinet. It detects shade deviations in sorting, packaging and label checks and verifies color codes in food, cosmetics and electronics assembly. At 60.3 fps every product on a medium-tempo line is captured in at least one frame.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
