Where color is the decision criterion, the MV-CS020-10GC pairs the color version of the IMX430 sensor with a GigE interface. The global shutter CMOS sensor reaches 60 fps at 1624 × 1240 in Bayer RG 8; the 4.5 μm pixel pitch and 43.8 dB SNR keep the color signal clean. It is the GigE color option in the 2 MP class of the small and medium resolution CS family, and its 72.1 dB dynamic range together with UltraShort exposure down to 1 μs helps preserve color fidelity on glossy surfaces and fast motion.
Besides raw Bayer RG 8/10/12, the camera outputs YUV422 and RGB 8 / BGR 8, so color conversion can happen in the camera or on the host. The Gigabit Ethernet link can be powered over PoE, a 9–24 VDC external supply is also accepted, and typical consumption is 3.0 W at 12 VDC. The opto-isolated input and output on the P7 connector plus the bi-directional Line 2 give enough flexibility to synchronise sensors and lighting; the 29 × 29 × 42 mm body mounts from four sides, and GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam compliance allows operation with standards-based software.

Where it is used
The color sensor reveals differences a mono camera cannot separate: label color, wire color coding, packaging print, color drift in pharmaceutical and food products. Two megapixels at 60 fps is sufficient in both speed and detail for sorting conveyors and label or print verification stations. Checking component polarity and colored markings in electronics, or shade matching in textiles and plastics, are equally natural uses.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
