HIKROBOT MV-CA023-10UM — Area Scan Cameras
2.3 MP, Sony IMX249, USB3.0, Mono, 41 fps

The MV-CA023-10UM runs the same IMX249 sensor over USB3.0, matching its GigE sibling’s 41 fps, but it is the lightest and least power-hungry of all ten models here: 56 g at a typical 2.5 W. The mono output is aimed at tasks that need low-light sensitivity rather than color rendition. HIKROBOT has placed this model in Delisting Preparation.
It draws typ. 2.5 W @5 VDC from the USB3.0 bus, with 12 VDC external power also supported. The I/O set matches the other USB3.0 models, and M2 screw holes secure the cable. Hardware triggering, software triggering and free-run mode are all available. USB3 Vision/GenICam compliance lets it work directly with the MVS client or GenICam-based third-party software; the 29×29×30 mm housing carries its lightest-in-class status into its physical size as well.

Key features
- Supports auto and manual adjustment for gain, exposure control, LUT, Gamma correction, etc.
- Supports hardware triggering, software triggering and free run mode.
- Adopts M2 screw holes for securing cable that connects USB3.0 interface.
- Compatible with USB3 Vision Protocol, GenICam Standard, and the third-party software based on these protocol and standard.
Where it is used
Being the lightest, lowest-power model makes it a natural fit for robot-mounted, moving, or space-constrained stations; the large pixel and mono output suit assembly inspection and code-reading tasks that need edge/pattern detection under limited light. At 41 fps it keeps pace comfortably with moderate-speed lines.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
