HIKROBOT MV-CA004-10UM — Area Scan Cameras
0.4 MP, Sony IMX287, USB3.0, Mono, 526.5 fps

The MV-CA004-10UM pairs the IMX287 sensor with a USB3.0 interface, reaching 526.5 fps at 720×540 — notably faster than its GigE counterpart. It offers a UltraShort exposure mode of 1–14 μs alongside a standard 15 μs–10 s range, adding flexibility for scenarios that need very brief exposures. SNR (41 dB) and dynamic range (74 dB) are unchanged, and the model falls under Delisting Preparation.
The USB3.0 interface, compatible with USB2.0, supports both a 9–24 VDC external supply and direct bus power (typ. 3 W @ 5 VDC); M2 screw holes secure the cable connection. The 6-pin Hirose connector provides one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output, and one bi-directional I/O line, with hardware triggering, software triggering, and free-run mode all supported. USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance enable integration with the MVS client and third-party software.

Where it is used
The UltraShort exposure mode down to 1 μs, combined with speeds up to 526.5 fps, suits applications that need blur-free capture of fast-moving parts, such as edge or position detection on high-speed conveyors. Monochrome imaging favors contrast-based measurement and defect detection tasks. The compact USB3.0 housing integrates easily into tight in-line stations.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
