HIKROBOT MV-CA016-10GM — Area Scan Cameras
1.6 MP, Sony IMX273, GigE, Mono, 78.2 fps

The MV-CA016-10GM is a mono area-scan camera built around Sony’s IMX273 sensor over a GigE interface. A 3.45 μm pixel size on a 1/2.9″ sensor reaches 78.2 fps at 1440 × 1080; its real distinguishing figure is a 71.4 dB dynamic range, among the widest in this segment of the CA series. The model is listed under HIKROBOT’s ‘Delisting Preparation’ status.
The GigE interface reaches up to 100 meters without a relay and stays compatible with Fast Ethernet; a 6-pin Hirose connector carries PoE power alongside the opto-isolated I/O set. Up to 128 MB of onboard memory buffers burst transmission and retransmission, reducing frame loss during network fluctuations. GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam compliance support integration with MVS and third-party software.

Where it is used
A 71.4 dB dynamic range helps on lines with uneven lighting or where both bright and dark regions must be read in the same frame – useful for PCB and electronic-component inspection. 1.6 MP resolution at 78.2 fps balances detail and throughput on mid-speed lines. The onboard memory buffer adds reliability on busy, multi-camera GigE networks.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
