TELEMECANIQUE XXW54P3APL01DM6 — Diffuse Ultrasonic Sensors

Telemecanique XXW54P3APL01DM6 is a diffuse, wide-beam ultrasonic sensor with a Ø54 mm body from the application series of the XX range. Its nominal sensing distance is 3 m, set by software with the configuration kit; the sensing range is 0.425–3 m and the blind zone 425 mm. It works at 48 kHz with a 50° beam angle, 0.1 % repeat accuracy and 20 mm maximum differential travel, and detects a Ø12 mm cylinder at 3 m. It provides a 4–20 mA analog output together with a programmable PNP discrete output (1 NO or 1 NC).

The current output drives up to 250 Ω at 12 V DC and up to 850 Ω at 24 V DC; the PNP output switches up to 100 mA; both outputs are overload and short-circuit protected. The reverse-polarity protected 12–24 V DC supply (9–32 V DC limits) draws 30 mA. It connects via a Deutsch DTM04-6P male connector on a 0.15 m cable; joining the grey pin 6 wires synchronises up to 8 sensors on one machine. Sensors on separate mobile machines cannot be synchronised; keep them at least 2.5 m apart. Valox enclosure, IP65/IP67/IP69K, -40 – +70 °C.
