Telemecanique XX7V1A1PAM12 is a diffuse ultrasonic sensor of the XX7 series in the XX range, combining an 18 × 33 × 60 mm flat body with an M18 threaded section. Its nominal sensing distance is 0.5 m, adjustable with a remote teach pushbutton; the sensing range is 0.051–0.508 m and the blind zone 0–51 mm. With a 300 kHz transmission frequency and 12° beam angle it offers 1.27 % repeat accuracy and a maximum differential travel of 2.5 mm. At 0.15 m it detects a Ø2.5 mm cylinder or a flat bar 1 mm wide.
The 3-wire PNP 1 NO output switches up to 100 mA, maximum voltage drop is 1 V and switching frequency up to 40 Hz; response and recovery delays are at most 10 ms. The 12–24 V DC supply (10–28 V DC limits) is reverse-polarity protected and current consumption is 40 mA. Connection is by an M12 4-pin male connector; the white wire is the teach input, where the XXZPB100 pushbutton is connected. With a Valox enclosure and epoxy front face it measures 44 × 18 × 60 mm; it is rated IP67 and operates at -20 – +65 °C.
