Omron G9SX safety controllers are supplied fully configured and pre-programmed, with fit-for-purpose units that contain no unnecessary functionality. They suit applications where the flexibility of a programmable safety controller is not needed. The series includes the G9SX-AD322 and G9SX-ADA222 advanced units, the G9SX-BC202 basic unit, and the G9SX-EX401 and OFF-delayed G9SX-EX041-T expansion units. Units are linked by logical AND connection to build systems that stop the whole machine or only a section of it. The series is TÜV SÜD certified to IEC/EN 61508 SIL 3 and EN ISO 13849-1 PL e / Category 4, and approved by UL and CSA.
Advanced and basic units have non-wearing P-channel MOS FET safety outputs, suitable for non-contact applications with a high number of output cycles. Load current is 0.8 A DC max. per output; up to 1 A is possible when 2 outputs or fewer are used. On advanced units the OFF-delay is set in 16 steps: up to 15 s on T15 and up to 150 s on T150. Expansion units provide 4PST-NO relay contacts (250 V AC 3 A, 30 V DC 3 A resistive). The supply is 24 V DC and the operating temperature −10 to 55 °C; screw (RT) or spring-cage (RC) terminals can be chosen.
