Limit Switches
Limit switches that detect machine and axis position through mechanical contact.
A limit switch signals that a machine or axis has reached a given position by physically pressing a lever or plunger. Omron’s lightweight, general-purpose WLCA series, the more rugged general-purpose D4A series, and the metal-housed, TÜV-certified safety-rated D4B series cover needs from standard position sensing to safety door interlocking. Protection class, lever type and safety requirement are chosen to match the application.
Telemecanique’s OsiSense XC series limit switches come in four body classes: compact (XCKN one-piece plastic body, metal-head XCKP/XCKT/XCKD), classic (XCKM with three cable entries and XCKL with one cable entry in metal bodies, plastic XCKS in EN 50041 format, wireless and battery-less XCKW), miniature (metal-head XCMD, plastic XCMN, connector-type XCMV) and industrial (XCKJ, EN 50041, the most robust head in its class with snap-action positive-opening contacts). Application-specific models for hoisting, handling and conveyor belts are also available.
