HIKROBOT MV-CH250-90VM — Area Scan Cameras
25 MP, Gpixel GMAX0505, dual USB3.0, Mono, 30 fps

The MV-CH250-90VM is the 25 MP monochrome member of the CH series USB3.0 line, pairing a Gpixel GMAX0505 global shutter CMOS with 5120 × 5120 resolution and 2.5 μm × 2.5 μm pixels. Its 40 dB SNR and 65 dB dynamic range are the highest image-quality figures among the GMAX0505 models in this group, and it delivers 30 fps at full resolution in Mono 8. Exposure drops to 1 μs in UltraShort mode, spans 9 μs to 10 s in standard mode, and gain is adjustable from 2.0× to 5.0×.
The camera streams over dual USB 3.0 interfaces and remains compatible with USB 2.0; power can come from the same two USB 3.0 connections (typically 4.8 W at 5 VDC) or from a 9 VDC to 24 VDC external supply. Hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run modes are supported, and the 6-pin P7 connector offers an opto-isolated input on Line 0, an opto-isolated output on Line 1 and a bi-directional I/O on Line 2. At 29 mm × 44 mm × 59 mm and roughly 100 g it fits tight spaces, mounts flexibly through its installation holes and complies with the GenICam standard.

Where it is used
A USB-powered 25 MP monochrome camera is a practical choice for compact benchtop metrology setups, laboratory imaging and single-PC inspection stations. The 40 dB SNR helps separate low-contrast surface flaws and fine lines, 30 fps is ample for dimensional checks on static or moderately moving parts, and a working range down to –10 °C allows cool environments.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
